This not-for-profit aimed at aiding people who struggle with mental illness needed to get online in a hurry amid the covid-19 shutting down their in-person events. It required several large features, including a multi-category blog; an interactive weekly wellness challenge in which people could upload their own photos of their challenge results; a store for their wellness cards, gifts, prints, etc; media galleries; a membership section.
Within two weeks, I was able to build out the site, the features and have it so that the client could edit the store, add and manage the blog, and adapt the weekly wellness challenge, all from the user friendly site dashboard. This site was featured by several organizations, including Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way.'
While plenty of effort was put into the desktop design, the most important aspect was the mobile design. This is generally the case these days as most people are accessing the internet from their mobile devices. I build all sites to be responsive accross all desktop, tablet and mobile retios, using resizing, percentages, and breakpoints to make it so that the site and it's elements look amazing everywhere. The breakpoints allow for creating out different types of menus based on screen size; changing arrangement and layouts of sections on the site; and create seperate ranges for elements like text bozes, buttons, etc. so they can be more finger friendly on smaller screens, and still stylish and proportianal on large monitors or televisions. Click the link and you'll see that the site looks incredible on all platforms, and is equally functional accross the board.
